A fine example of a Thomas Russell & Son Pocket Watch circa 1890. This is a fully working Pocket Watch with all original & complete parts & is rare in the fact that it has a numerical face & not roman numerals. The casing which has the inscription ' Tho Russell & Son Illinois Watch Case Co. Elgin U.S.A This Case Guaranteed To Wear 10 Years' has a serial number of:- 4051060 which can also be seen on the front outer casing of the watch. The fully working movement is Swiss Made with 15 Jewels & along with the inscription 'Thos Russell & Son Liverpool', has a serial number of:- 69991. It has a white face with a separate second hand movement at the bottom of the watch. It has the signature name Tho Russell & Son underneath some clouds & a water wheel on the white face. All other examples I have seen have not got the long signature underneath the Water Wheel. Having done a lot of research into Thomas Russell & Son who were watch makers to Queen Victoria these are truly sort after time pieces. Feel free to browse websites in order to gauge a price for these items as all are different - I am yet to come across a unique & rare timepiece like this one. The Pocket Watch is in good condition given the age, with just some slight dark scuff mark on the back of the outer casing which is to be expected with a Watch over 100 years old. A masterpiece of an example which is in perfect working order. Thomas Russell & Son (English (Liverpool), c.1840-1994), circa early 20th century. A gold plated half. Jones, Clawdd Offa, Northop, August 10th, 1927. Koihime eiyuutan english downloads. This watch is extremely interesting in view of its personal inscription being of historical value which, to me, adds to its authenticity, and the sheer pleasure of owning a watch which is not anonymous and is traceable, if desired, by perhaps descendants of the family. Its overall condition is very good, with only those age related handling marks one expects on a watch of this age. There are no dents or scratches evident nor big enough to deserve special mention. It is in good working condition and keeps good time. It is a delight to hold, examine and listen to. ![]() It has two rear covers which open easily and latch well, revealing the Premier Swiss made movement inside. The outer rear case bears a serial number inside ending in 632 which you will note appears on the edge of the main movement case, proving that the case is as originally assembled and not made up from separate watches. The face is approximately 45mm in diameter. It winds efficiently. I am no expert, just a lover of these watches, who enjoys the privilege of owning them, and I have had this watch for over three years in which it has not failed to keep good time and work well. Unfortunately, my wife cannot stand the sound of ticking watches and although she purchased another similar model for me which set me off collecting others, I feel its time to pass them on to fellow enthusiasts to enjoy, as I have done. My wife can then relax! This watch would make an excellent Christmas gift for someone special. Agfa silette lk manual programs. Good luck if you bid and thank you for looking.
